Alberico Suite

This whole unit is an entire wing of Villa Montepepe and it is the area with a covered rooftop terrace. Originally this was a classic Tuscan country house (as it appears from old Leopoldian maps). Eventually, though, around the beginning of the 20th century, the house was incorporated into the rest of the villa and transformed, with the conversion of the capanna style roof, in what is now the Master Terrace. Old documents show the presence of this typical “farmhouse in Montignoso” at the beginning of the 18th century. The building is made of a big hallway with and with access to living room on one side and to a bedroom on the other. The furniture is exclusively designed. At the ground floor, the hallway and a big part of the flooring is made with original stone from Montepepe, a stone CANGIANTE with a range of colors from the blue to violet. The ceilings on the ground floor were very old and went through a thorough restoration and consolidation. The are made of a double warp of chestnut wood and terracotta bricks The bathroom on the first floor is characterized by a unique element in marble Bardiglio that forms both the shower plate and the sink. The floor is made of schist tiles of local stone and the cladding of the walls is pink resin. On the first floor the south facing master bedroom has stunning views of the sea and is furnished with and island-style bed, wardrobe, and integrated shelving units. The master bathroom, at exclusive use of the bedroom, has an original sink made out of a unique block of carving marble with two specially carved faucets.
