Pleyel Suite

Located on the first floor of Villa Montepepe, this suite has been designed in what originally was the Music Room of the Villa which still features has today a prestigious “Pleyel” Piano from the end of the 19th century. In those days, the Villa belonged to Princess Alice di Borbone, mother of Luisa d’Austria who, in her second marriage, married the famous musician Enrico Toselli (1883-1926). From an ample hallway, we access the three main area: two double bedrooms connected by a bathroom. The master bedroom has also an ensuite as well a small sitting room with the piano. The walls are decorated with plaster of pure natural lime and the floors are of solid oak wood.

The room that faces on the olive grove still has an old floor from the beginning of the 20th century in terrazzo tiles that creates a beautiful floral design “carpet-style”. All the furniture is especially designed. In the small sitting room of the master bedroom, we find as center piece the old Pleyel Piano. The rooms have antique carpets. The internal doors and windows are original pieces from early 20th century with a three-glass design and french plaster, wooden shutters and sliding curtains on the inside. Two bathrooms, the first one with bathtub and with shower, the second with a shower made on a plate of solid grey marble Bardiglio. White carrara marble cladding of big dimensions and Bardiglio Nuvolato, flooring of pastel colors.
